 1. Feature carrier

  Access control system is a system that manages and controls the flow of people, logistics, and information. Therefore, the system must first be able to confirm their identities and determine the legitimacy of their access (behavior). This requires a method to give them a mark of identity and authority, which we call a feature carrier, and the identity and authority information it contains is a feature. The key of a mechanical lock is a feature carrier, and its "tooth shape" is the feature. There are many feature carriers that can be used in access control systems, such as magnetic cards, photoelectric cards, and the most commonly used IC cards. These feature carriers must be used together with the holder (person or thing), but they do not have the same identity with the holder, which means that the feature carrier can be held and used by others (things). In order to prevent this problem, multiple methods can be used, that is, using two or more feature carriers (depending on the security requirements of the system). If a characteristic of security and stability can be selected from the holder itself as the information that represents the identity, this problem will not exist. Of course, the characteristics from the "holder" are called "biological characteristics", and the characteristic carrier is naturally the holder.

  

  2. Reading device

  

"Reading device" is a device that exchanges information with the feature carrier. It reads information about the holder's identity and authority in an appropriate manner from the characteristic carrier to identify the holder's identity and determine the legitimacy of its behavior (access request). Obviously, the feature reading device is a device that matches the feature carrier. The technical attributes of the carrier are different, and the attributes of the reading device are also different. The reading device of a magnetic card is a magnetoelectric conversion device, the reading device of a photoelectric card is a photoelectric conversion device, and the reading device of an IC card is an electronic data communication device. The reading device of the mechanical lock is the "lock cylinder". When the key is inserted into the lock cylinder, the movable pin in the lock cylinder is matched with the teeth of the key to confirm the identity and authority of the holder. The identification process of the electronic reading device is: the read characteristic information is converted into electronic data, and then compared with the data stored in the device memory to realize identity confirmation and authorization authentication. This process is also called "feature recognition" ". Some feature reading devices have only the function of reading information, and some also have the function of writing information to the feature carrier. Such devices are called "read and write devices". Writing information to the feature carrier is the system to the holder* Or the process of revising*. This feature carrier can be modified and reused. Generally, the key of a mechanical lock cannot be modified, and the authority it represents cannot be changed. A person's biological characteristics cannot be modified, but the authority it has can be changed through the system settings.

  

3. Locking mechanism

  

  Access control system only has practicality with proper locking mechanism. After the reading device confirms the identity and authority of the holder, it is necessary to enable the legal person to enter and exit smoothly, and effectively prevent the request of the illegal person. Different forms of locking mechanisms constitute a variety of different access control systems, or realize different applications of access control technology. For example, the shift lever of the subway toll system, the car stops of the parking lot, the cash collection and withdrawal device of the self-service bank. If the locking mechanism is a door, the system controls the opening and closing of the door, which is an "access control" system. The mechanism lock is a kind of locking mechanism of the access control system. When the lock core matches the tooth shape of the key, the handle can be turned to retract the bolt to open the door.

  

  The security of theaccess control systemincludes impact resistance, that is, resistance to mechanical damage. This performance is mainly determined by the locking mechanism of the system.
